Tidel began in 1977 as part of the Southland Corporation (now known as 7-Eleven, Inc.) by inventing a robbery prevention and anti-theft product familiar to retail store operators everywhere and found in 7-Eleven worldwide - the Timed Access Cash Controller (TACC). This product remains the centerpiece of Tidel’s manufacturing operation and there are presently over 115,000 TACCs working in retail locations throughout the world.

The Benefits of the TACC-IIa Cash Management.

In business there are some simple truths. One of these truths is that you only stay in business if you make money. To make money you need to effectively manage your cash. You need to take care of your customer's change requirements, yet limit how much of your cash is exposed. Since the TACC-IIa stores coins and bills, your cash register can have a specific limit for the amount of money stored in it. Many retailers operate with as little as $50.00 in the register. Lower cash levels reduce the temptation for theft and make robbery unattractive.
